Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant in Clovis, NM. You will prepare patients for visits, assist providers with exams and procedures, and perform MA duties within scope, including administering medications and managing specimens.

  • Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Maintain required certifications and competency requirements.

Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $18.33, Maximum Offer $27.26

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for visits, collect clinical information, and assist providers with exams and procedures.
  • Perform Medical Assistant duties within scope of practice, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing patient education.
  • Support clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, and following infection prevention standards.
  • Assist with scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, patient communications, and electronic medical record documentation.
  • Collaborate with providers and the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting quality and service initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of Medical Assistant experience or successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program required.
  • Presbyterian Medical Assistant Advanced Skills Training required within 90 days of hire.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Must maintain required certifications and complete all organizational, department, and role-specific competency requirements.
