South Central Primary Care Center Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the ambulatory care team. The role involves interviewing patients, obtaining histories, recording vitals, performing CLIA-waived tests, collecting specimens, and assisting physicians during exams and procedures.

You'll prepare charts, administer medications, and support patient flow while maintaining accurate records and HIPAA compliance. This on-site position requires good communication and customer service skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Must hold current medical assistant certification.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients and record history; measure vital signs.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and document results.
• Collect, prepare and document specimens (blood, urine, stool, sputum).
• Assist provider during examinations and procedures; prepare rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Prepare charts per schedule; administer medications/injections.
• Dismiss patients at end of visit; participate in orientation and meetings.
• Work as a team to coordinate patient care and workflow.
• Cover other locations during staffing shortages as needed.
• Ensure accurate patient records and regulatory compliance.
