Native American Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant I to join the Medical Department in Oakland, CA. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position supports clinicians, helps manage patient panels, and ensures smooth daily flow in a primary care setting.

The MA I performs routine clinical tasks, prepares exam rooms, orders and administers vaccines and injections as directed, and participates in panel management as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with primary care and manage patient flow.
• Perform blood tests, injections, EKGs, and immunization tasks.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supply inventory.
• Provide health education and support adherence to protocols.
• Lead daily huddles with care team.
• Conduct reminder calls for upcoming appointments.
• Follow standardized workflows for pre-visit preparations.
• Reschedule No Show appointments.
