Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our East Oakland Health Center. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care, support clinical and clerical tasks, and work as part of a team to deliver urgent and primary care in a community health setting.

Requirements include completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, CPR certification, and at least one year in a community clinic or medical office. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a community clinic or medical office.

Responsibilities

• Document patient registration, vital signs, and health history in EHR.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during examinations.
• Perform injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic in-clinic tests.
• Assist front desk with referrals, appointments, and eligibility tasks.
• Support home visits and outreach activities as needed.
