Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of formal program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on division.

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming and vital signs, patient history, screenings and health maintenance.
• Assist provider with procedures and administer medications/vaccines.
• Perform lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per standing orders and CLIA guidelines.
• Handle refills, insurance authorizations, scheduling and referrals.
• Maintain clean work environment; ensure equipment is in working order.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and communicate effectively with patients and team.
