IU Health in Indianapolis seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to room patients, collect patient information, document data, and support efficient provider visits. The role includes front desk activities, EMR management, and ensuring smooth patient flow under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent), MA program graduation, and BLS certification, with knowledge of OSHA/CLIA/ADA and coding basics. TB screening may be required.

Formación

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for healthcare workers.
• New hires must graduate from a Medical Assistant program (as of Oct 5, 2025).
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA requirements.
• TB validation or completion within 6 months of hire may be required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
• Basic math and accurate data collection/entry skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain necessary patient information to support high-quality care.
• Document relevant patient information accurately.
• Help ensure each visit is efficient and provides value to the patient.
• Complete administrative responsibilities that support continuity of patient care.
• Assist with follow-up activities related to ongoing patient care.
