Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I for full-time day shifts at the Institute for Neurosciences in Lawrenceville, NJ. Minimum education is a post-secondary MA program with 330 clock hours; certification from a recognized body is required by the board.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting program accredited by NHA/CAHEA/ABHES or equivalent.
• Program includes 330 clock hours and training in injections and sterile technique; current MA certification required (AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and patient history; assist physicians and staff.
• Take and prepare specimens, perform ECGs and point-of-care testing.
• Handle clerical duties: registration, scheduling, charting in EMR, and discharge paperwork.
