Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of prior relevant medical office clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Keeps patient flow during clinic hours and records vitals and histories in EMR.
• Prepares patient charts in EMR, scans and reviews reports, and ensures needed records are in the chart.
• Refills medications and pre-authorizes prescriptions, coordinating with patients, pharmacies and insurers as needed.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, checks patients in/out, and handles pre-certifications.
