Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks Medical Assistants I-III to join our Houston-area clinics, providing patient care under supervision with escalating responsibilities by level.

Compensation is hourly from $16.00 to $32.00 with a comprehensive benefits package, incentives, equity opportunities, and a 401k plan. Required are a high school diploma/GED, MA program or related experience, BLS, medical terminology, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR 1 year of directly related experience without certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in accordance with standards.
• Perform delegated tasks as directed by a physician or RN.
• MA II: Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks.
• MA III: Perform high-level clinical procedures and mentor staff.
