Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant or 1+ year of directly related experience with no Certification/Registration
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort per standards.
• Perform delegated tasks by a physician or RN.
• Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks (MA II).
• Serve as a resource for less experienced staff (MA III).
