UNC Health Appalachian is seeking a Medical Assistant I to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy outpatient office in Boone, NC. You will assist with exams, vital signs, and patient prep under provider supervision while maintaining accurate EHR records and scheduling duties.

Strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail are essential, as is a high school diploma and BLS. Certification within a year (RMA/AAMA/CCMA) is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• RMA/AAMA/CCMA certification within one year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient medical office.
• Assist with exams, procedures, vital signs, and patient preparation under provider supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system.
• Schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, and support clinic operations.
• Educate patients regarding treatments, medications, and procedures.
