Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant in Indianapolis to support patient care under physician supervision. You will perform rooming, data collection, documentation, and basic lab work while maintaining smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include front-desk registration, scheduling, and EMR data entry, with emphasis on accuracy and patient-centered service. Certifications and MA program completion are valued as part of professional readiness.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• New hires or promotions after Oct 5, 2025 must graduate from a Medical Assistant program.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
• Knowledge of standard clinical and laboratory procedures and third-party payers.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain necessary patient information to support high-quality care.
• Document relevant patient information accurately.
• Help ensure each visit is efficient and provides value to the patient.
• Complete administrative responsibilities that support continuity of patient care.
• Assist with follow-up activities related to ongoing patient care.
