We value teamwork and excellent communication; qualifications include completion of a MA program, 1 year experience preferred, and certification such as CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Minimum of 1 year MA experience preferred.
• Externship or direct patient care experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Non-certified candidates may qualify via IU Health MA Trainee Program.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning and rooming patients.
• Obtaining vital signs and patient information.
• Administering vaccines and performing POCT.
• Supporting providers with patient care needs.
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation.
• Direct patient care activities ~100% of the role.
