Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Assistant to join our Huntersville team. You will perform rooming tasks, take vitals, collect histories, and assist providers with procedures and labs. You will administer vaccines, manage specimens, and support patient flow in a busy internal medicine setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training per DD214/EMT acceptable.
• Two years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, history, screening, medication reconciliation.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and specimen labeling.
• Performs CLIA-waived tests and POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and proper equipment operation.
