Job summary

Capital Health in Kansas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front-office operations within Capital Health Medical Group. This role includes patient prep, vital signs, specimen handling, injections, and EMR documentation, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and patient communication.

You will assist physicians and staff, perform ECGs and point-of-care tests, and help with registrations, scheduling, and records management to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Education includes training in injections and specimen handling.
• Current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or approved body.
• AHA BLS certification required before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, taking vitals and medical history.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care testing following policy.
• Handle patient registration, scheduling, and medical records filing.
• Assist front office with discharge paperwork, referrals and education.
