Job summary

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide high quality care within our Annapolis/Edgewater Family/Internal Medicine practice. You will administer medications and immunizations, obtain vital signs, and help maintain smooth patient flow.

The role offers a day shift, full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth. A CMA certification with CPR is required within 3 months of hire, and prior ambulatory care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification required within 3 months of hire; CPR certification required.
• Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations.

Shift

Non-exempt - Full-time - 40 hours per week - Mon-Fri - 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.

What You'll Need To Be Successful

• High School Diploma or GED required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant required successful completion of the AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA(NCCT), RCMAS(NCMA), CCMA(NHA) or RMA (American Allied Health). Medical Assistant Certification, required within 3 months of hire. Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA(American Medical Technologists) exam. A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
• Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
