Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support clinicians by preparing patients for exams, recording vital signs, and assisting during procedures. The MA will document in the EHR and help with administrative tasks while ensuring patient flow.

Required are an MA certification (or CNA/EMT/LPN pathway), CPR, and 1–2 years in a clinical setting. Proficiency with EMR and MS Office is preferred. Excellent teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified/Licensed MA preferred; CNA/EMT or LPN with healthcare degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in medical practice or clinical setting.
• CPR Certification; Proficient in EMR and MS Office; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs in the EHR.
• Assist physicians during examinations and routine procedures.
• Perform minor procedures such as dressing changes, phlebotomy, and injections.
• Document accurately in the EHR and manage prescription refills.
