Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Comprehensive Care Center. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with potential weekend hours in the future which would replace weekdays.

The MA performs clinical duties and some administrative tasks under providers’ direction, including preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, patient histories, and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• Certified/Licensed MA preferred; CNA/EMT/LPN also considered.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical practice or clinical setting.
• CPR Certification required.
• Proficiency with EMR and MS Office applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record vitals.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Document tests, results, medications, and procedures in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medications.
• Manage calls and messages and relay information to providers.
