Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Comprehensive Care Center, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with potential weekend hours in the future which would replace weekdays.

The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties and some administrative functions under the direction of medical group providers, including preparing patients for examination, taking and recording vital signs, patient histories, and assisting with various procedures.

Qualifications

• Certified/Licensed MA preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical practice or clinical setting.
• CPR Certification.
• Proficient computer skills including EMR and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and procedures.
• Take and record vital signs and patient histories.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Document in the EHR clearly and accurately.
• Process prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and meds.
