Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Glastonbury, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support under the supervision of physicians. You will work closely with our team to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

In this role, you will perform vitals, collect patient history, assist with procedures, and handle scheduling, referrals, check-in/out, and prior authorizations. You may float to other Hartford HealthCare Medical Group offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma from accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, patient history, outside medication/allergy reconciliation and screenings.
• Point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Administrative support including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other Hartford HealthCare Medical Group offices as needed.
