Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Westport, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care, within the MA scope of education. The role includes continued training and growth.

Responsibilities include vitals, medication reconciliation, point-of-care testing, assisting providers with procedures, scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation support. Travel between offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification OR related experience as outlined.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, medication and allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Point-of-care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Administrative duties including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other Hartford HealthCare Medical Group offices as needed.
