Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and clerical support in patient care. The role includes vitals, medication reconciliation, screenings, patient history, and virtual health.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic or related experience.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire date.
• One year of direct patient care experience or MA externship preferred; EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic clinical and clerical support in patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education.
• Assists with vitals, medication reconciliation, screenings, patient history, and virtual health.
• Supports providers with in-house procedures and scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations, and transportation facilitation.
