Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support, including vitals, patient history, screenings, and point of care testing. You will assist providers with procedures and handle scheduling, chart prep, referrals and prior authorizations.

The role includes EPIC EMR use, travel between Connecticut offices, and a pathway for professional growth. A Medical Assistant diploma and BLS are required, with benefits and career advancement opportunities

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate as Medical Assistant required.
• BLS certification must be current.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, med reconciliation, allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Conducts point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures and provides scheduling, chart prep, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs and supports transportation facilitation.
