Job summary

St. Elizabeth Physicians in Kentucky is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and mid-level providers. You will instruct patients as directed and ensure compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA while executing duties vital to business operations.

Responsibilities include assisting during exams, documenting vitals and histories, preparing patients, collecting specimens, and supporting the revenue cycle with proper forms. 24 scheduled hours with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Preferred credential such as CCMA CMA RMA ARMA or EMT

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs and document in chart.
• Document patient history and provide exam directions to patients.
• Prepare the patient for the exam and assist the provider during examination.
• Perform nursing procedures under supervision and collect lab specimens.
• Administer medications as directed and ensure revenue forms are completed.

Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.

Completion of MA Program including hands-on MA externship

Completion of SEP Internship

Completion of EMT certification

Degree in Health or Biological Sciences incl. hands-on clinical patient care activities
