Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support within the MA scope of education. The role includes continued training across the MA duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.
• At least one year of direct patient care experience; MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, outside medication reconciliation, allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provides administrative support including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
