Job summary

TexomaCare, affiliated with Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a busy clinical setting. You will interview patients, record vital signs, perform venipuncture, and maintain clean treatment rooms while ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.

Occasional front-desk coverage is required. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma, BLS/CPR, and MA certification or 1 year MA experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care duties under the direction of a physician.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
• Venipuncture and related procedures as directed by the physician.
• Document in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist front desk as needed.
