Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification within 1 year required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient preparation for examinations and minor procedures.
• Documents activities in the EMR and supports patient flow.
• Performs selected clinical tasks such as vital signs, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
• Supports safety, quality initiatives and infection control within ambulatory care.
