Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the West Berkeley Health Center team in Berkeley, CA. This full-time position requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current CPR certification, with at least one year of prior medical office experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a community clinic or medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical providers by completing basic clerical and clinical tasks using Electronic Health Record systems.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist during examinations as needed.
• obtain and record vital signs, medication history and health information.
• Provide patient education and information as instructed by clinic staff.
• Support front desk activities including telephone, scheduling and records.
