Job summary

LifeLong Medical Care at TRUST Health Center in Oakland is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a patient-centered care team. This full-time position requires completing an accredited Medical Assistant program and current CPR, with at least one year of clinic or medical office experience.

You will support clinicians by performing basic clerical and clinical tasks in an EHR environment, manage rooming, vaccinations, phlebotomy, basic lab tests, and patient education, while contributing to quality

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a community clinic or medical office.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical providers by completing basic clerical and clinical tasks.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control procedures.
• Perform basic in-clinic lab tests and vaccines injections.
• Phlebotomy and EKG as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
