Job summary

Advanced Womens Health And Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to support two physicians by preparing charts, pulling notes, and assisting with routine tests and lab reporting to ensure timely information for patients.

You will manage medical supplies, set up equipment, clean instruments, take patient vitals, and help with EPIC recordkeeping while delivering strong customer service in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment.
• Clean instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer patient questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs.
• Assist doctors with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties.
• Manage patient records in EPIC.
• Take and record patient vitals.
• Prepare the patients for examinations and treatments.
• Set up treatment trays and rooms.
• Handle prior-authorizations.
• Follow up on messages from insurance companies, patients and pharmacies.
