Job summary

NVISION Eye Centers is seeking a non-licensed support team member to assist with admitting patients, prepare surgical attire, monitor vitals, and support perioperative care. You will work under RN/LVN supervision in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

Responsibilities include stocking PACU, preparing laser room, managing supplies, and coordinating pre/post-op tasks. A High School diploma and 1 year medical experience, with BLS certification, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year experience in a medical setting.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admitting patients from the waiting room to the pro-op area.
• Assist with dressing patients in proper surgical attire before surgery.
• Hook-up patient monitors and obtain first set of vital signs and record.
• Assist patients during transfers on/off gurney.
• Keep PACU supplies well stocked.
• Provides pre/post-operative care and instructions.
• Assists in surgery by preparing the laser room with supplies and sterilized equipment.
• Stocks all medication and medical supplies by proactively planning work week to ensure completion of required tasks.
• Calls to request pre/post-ops on surgery patients.
• Orders all medical supplies.
• Keeps up with all regular and emergency maintenance on medical equipment.
