Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is seeking Medical Assistants to join the Hoag Urgent Care Resource Team in Costa Mesa, CA. This role focuses on non-clinical tasks to ensure smooth patient access and flow, including pre-authorization processes and liaison duties between providers and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 1 year medical back-office experience preferred.
• Basic keyboarding and MS Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Willing to travel to different locations up to 50% of the time and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients (follow-ups, imaging, labs).
• Prepare appropriate chart elements and records.
• Check vital signs and room patients.
• Assist with clinical procedures as required.
