Job summary

Englewood Health, serving northern New Jersey, seeks a Medical Assistant to support primary health care delivery. Under supervision, you will interview patients, assist with patient flow, perform clerical tasks, and ensure efficient physician time.

Requirements include a high school diploma and an accredited Medical Assistant program; CPR certification; CMA/RMA/PCT certification; experience with medical terminology and practice management systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology knowledge required or preferred.
• Experience with practice management software preferred.
• Strong data entry and clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
• Interview patients to collect demographic and financial information.
• Answer calls and provide customer assistance.
• Process data entry and maintain records for patient registration.
• Support patient flow from waiting area to exam rooms.
• Prepare patients for physician's time and basic clinical tasks.
