Job summary

Marathon Health Inc is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support clinical and front-desk duties, take vitals, administer injections and immunizations, manage patient flow, and coordinate with the care team to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, formal MA training, and CPR/BLS certification. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, with a focus on a high-quality, patient-centered primary care environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health data for providers.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures; coordinate with contracted labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record accurate data in medical records per guidelines; process test results and communicate to patients.
• Engage patients through outreach to improve appointment adherence and health outcomes.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for clinic treatments.
