Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience to our patients.

Because of our model, the Medical Assistant oversees the full spectrum of the patient experience—acting both as a Medical Receptionist and assuming clinical responsibilities of a Medical Assistant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are stocked and clean.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, assist with procedures, and work with labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, documentation, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Record data in Medical Records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate with patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
