Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Roanoke, VA. The Medical Assistant will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience, serving as both Medical Receptionist and clinical support.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of MA experience, completion of a MA program, and CPR/BLS certification at start. Phlebotomy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, perform blood draws, assist with procedures and coordinate with labs.
• Front desk duties, including scheduling, record requests, and referrals.
• Process test results and notify patients via e-message, mail or phone as directed by the Provider.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.
