Job summary

Marathon Health in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience, handling both front desk duties and clinical tasks.

Requirements include graduation from an MA program, MA credentialing or registration if required by state, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year of MA experience in primary care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification/registration is required where mandated by state.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Reviews patient information and updates health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform venipuncture, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, documentation, and coordinating referrals and tests.
• Maintain medical records and communicate test results to patients as instructed.
