Job summary

Marathon Health, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a part-time role in Fort Wayne, IN. The MA will support a primary care physician, provide essential patient care, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering injections, and front-desk duties. The position requires a Medical Assistant program graduation, CPR/BLS certification at start, and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred; required in states where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections; work with labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests & abstraction, referrals, coordination of specialist visits.
• Record data in the medical record per guidelines; communicate results to patients.
