Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing to support clinical operations under the Clinical Lead and Practice Leader. You will gather patient information, monitor vitals, assist with procedures, and help re-process instruments to ensure smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a MA certification from NHA or AMCA, and BLS. At least one year of clinical experience and EMR familiarity are preferred in our busy outpatient setting in Greenbrae, CA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification from NHA or AMCA required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or clinical setting.
• Re-processing/ procedural experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, note visit reason and symptom details.
• Provide courteous care and assist with procedures.
• Document all information in EMR, including meaningful Use data.
• Admin: answer phones, schedule, check in patients, and handle messages.
• Admin: manage referrals, prescriptions, and insurance verifications.
• Disinfects exam rooms and maintains patient areas and supplies.
