Job summary

MarinHealth seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to join the Front/Back Swing team in Novato. You will work under the Clinical Lead and Practice Leader to support patient care, collect vitals, assist with procedures and manage instruments in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires 1 year of related medical assisting experience or equivalent training, a current MA certification, and BLS. EMR experience with Allscripts is preferred; immunizations and vaccines are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals and document symptoms.
• Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered.
• Assist with procedures and instrument re-processing.
• Manage lab results, prescriptions and referrals in the EMR.
• Disinfect exam rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness.
