Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front/back swing duties under supervision. You will collect vitals, room patients, assist with procedures and manage EMR data and referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting symptoms and visit reason.
• Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered by the medical provider.
• Assist with procedures and triage of urgent needs as appropriate.
• Document all information in EMR and manage lab results, prescriptions, and referrals.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records.
