Job summary

Community Health Centers of America (CHCA) seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for our Livingston, California clinic. The role provides back-office clinical support and front-office administrative assistance as needed, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturday shifts.

You may travel to nearby sites for training or staffing support. The ideal candidate will have MA certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of MA experience, plus strong organizational and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• FQHC experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant (MA) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bilingual fluency preferred.
• Effective organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to needs of the clinic.
• Willingness to travel to other site, when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Administrative: Reception, answer phones, schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist billing procedures.
• Assist patients with registration; maintain files and records.
• Data entry for billing, transcription, and claims.
• Arrange referrals and process prescriptions.
• Track inventory and supplies; ensure compliance with standards.
