Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care across our CHCCC sites in California. The MA will perform clinical duties, assist with exams, administer medications as ordered, and handle clerical tasks to maintain smooth clinic workflow.

The role requires a CMA/RMA or equivalent certification/registration in California, with potential for growth and ongoing training. HIPAA compliance and excellent patient service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred; if not held, must pass within one year of hire.
• Minimum one year of recent medical assisting experience preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems and clinical duties is expected.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in patient care team duties.
• Administer medications per Provider's orders.
• Perform in-house CLIA waived tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, strep, etc.).
• Greet patients, manage waiting areas, and assist with patient flow.
