Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Medical Department. The MA will perform clinical and clerical duties under supervision, administer medications as ordered, and help maintain efficient patient flow in a high-volume clinic.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CMA/RMA certification or the ability to obtain within a year. EHR proficiency and strong customer service are essential, with bilingual skills desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as CMA or RMA (California) or able to obtain within one year.
• Experience with EHRs and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care under supervision and assists with clinical duties.
• Administers medications under Provider orders.
• Performs vitals, immunization screening, and basic lab tests.
• Maintains clean, safe patient areas and documents in EMR.
• Interprets for patients when necessary and supports clerical tasks.
