Job summary

Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Fort Worth Urgent Care Center to support ambulatory care operations. You will collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to assist in patient care and uphold departmental policies.

Three 12-hour night shifts per week (12:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.) with weekend and holiday availability, focusing on patient care and excellent customer relations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or current MA certification required.
• Current BLS Certification required; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and licensed clinical personnel.

Summary:

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma required.

Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

Current BLS Certification required.

National certification preferred.

Schedule:
