Job summary

Cook Children’s is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Fort Worth Urgent Care Center to support clinicians in an ambulatory setting.

You will assist with prep and delivery of patient care, follow the nursing process, and uphold patient relations. Requirements include high school diploma, MA training or current MA certification, BLS, and Texas licensure/certification preferred. Schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts weekly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of accredited MA program or current MA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care.
• Support physicians and other licensed staff in clinical tasks.
• Follow departmental policies and nursing process to augment care.
