Job summary

Cook Children’s is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Fort Worth Urgent Care Center to support clinicians in an ambulatory setting.

You will assist with prep and delivery of patient care, follow the nursing process, and uphold patient relations. Requirements include high school diploma, MA training or current MA certification, BLS, and Texas licensure/certification preferred. Schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts weekly.

Job description

Location: Fort Worth Urgent Care Center Department: UCC - Fort Worth Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 36

Summary: The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Education and Experience High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Current BLS Certification required. National certification preferred.

Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (12:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.) Weekend and holiday availability is required.
