Job summary

Greater Good Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for its on-site primary care clinic in Ammon, ID. You will work closely with a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-touch, holistic care for a panel of senior patients in a recently built clinic.

The role emphasizes patient experience, efficient clinic flow, and coordination of tests, referrals, and follow-ups. The clinic operates 7:30–4pm, Monday–Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant onboarding program.
• 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Primary Care experience is a plus.
• 1+ year of Phlebotomy experience.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• 6+ months of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients and support functions related to patient care activities.
• Actively engages and manages patient panels in partnership with the Nurse Practitioner as an extension of the NP to support delivery of high-touch, high-quality care.
• Assist patients and provider with scheduling, test preparation, and follow-up communications.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clean, safe clinical environment.
• Assist with vaccinations and procedures under provider direction (e.g., ABI, spirometry, EKGs) as applicable.
• Oversee lab orders, blood draws, sample collection, and specimen preparation.
• Support check-out, referrals, and post-visit coordination as needed.
