Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military clinical training in lieu of a formal MA program.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA) or obtained within timelines.
• Experience as Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rooming tasks: vital signs, history, and screenings.
• Assist with or perform provider-ordered procedures.
• Venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT testing per CLIA standards.
• Administer medications and vaccines per policy.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and patient messaging.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and equipment.
