Job summary

Rome Health, a trusted healthcare provider in New York, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support providers and staff with administrative and clinical duties in a fast-paced setting, helping coordinate patient care and daily operations for a positive patient experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask effectively within a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic clinical and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Prepare patients for appointments, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
• Organize and maintain patient records and medical documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling, testing, and follow-up appointments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and outside healthcare facilities.
• Collect laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy and microbiology swabs.
• Perform EKG testing as directed.
• Prepare exam and treatment areas and maintain clinical supplies.
• Support patient flow and help ensure efficient daily operations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety and compliance stand.
